This course offers an opportunity to consider the key skills needed for children to become independent writers in the early years. We will explore a variety of strategies to support children to consistently apply their writing skills in a variety of situations, whilst also considering the role of the adult and how to encourage parental support.
This course will enable you to: - Understand the complex skills involved in the process of learning to write.
- Gain a greater understanding of strategies that can be used to support young children in becoming competent writers.
- Implement strategies to raise outcomes in writing and promote a love of writing.
- Develop strategies to engage parents to understand and support writing development.
This course is suitable for Nursery and Reception Teachers, Newly Qualified Teachers and EYFS Teaching Assistants.
