Youth Mental Health First Aid

Become a Mental Health First Aider for your school or organisation. Two Day training £350

Outline

Youth Mental Health First Aid is suitable for anyone who works with children and young people (aged 8-18). The sessions will give you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues, offer first aid and guide towards the support needed. This can speed up a recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse. The course will also give you information and skills to look after your own mental health to enable you to set an example to childrena and young people.

Description

Attending the Youth Mental Health First Aid Two Day course qualifies you as a Youth Mental Health First Aider, an internationally recognised approach. You will receive materials to support you in your role as well as a certificate. During the two day course you explore a range of mental health issues and develop skills to be able to give "first aid" help to children and young people.
