The National Award for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordination (Postgraduate Certificate) Cohort 9

This programme is ideal for SENCOs who wish to meet the Statutory requirements for undertaking the role in English schools.

Outline

This Masters level programme reflects the changes to the NCTL learning outcomes framework and is closely aligned to changes in special educational needs and disabilities policy, provision and practice in England. This programme meets the statutory requirments for SENCOs in England and should be completed within three years of appointment.

Our programme


  • Builds upon your existing skills, experience and/or qualifications
  • Enables you to develop skills, knowledge and understanding which are practical, relevant and applicable to the SENCO role.
  • Using a face to face delivery you will have the opportunity to network with other SENCOs and receive hands on support.
  • The course keeps participants up to date with relevant legislative changes, key policy intiaitves, emerging research evidence and the implications of these for practice. The course will ensure that SENCOs working in a range of settings are able to carry out their responsibilities in relation to key taks outlined in the SEN Code of Practice (2014).
