This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, illnesses, injuries and emergencies which can arise when looking after children.
Over a two day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: assessing an emergency situation, dealing with an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, meningitis, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, asthma and more.

This course will enable you to: - Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider.
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
- Administer first aid to an infant/child.
- Understand how to complete records relating to illnesses, injuries and emergencies.
Please note refreshments and lunch will not be provided. Please bring your own refreshments and lunch. Photo identification must be shown to the trainer on the first day of the course.
