From 29th – 2nd November Entrust joined Capita in volunteering 2,800 hours for a range of charities, with events running across 18 cities.
29th October marked the start of Go Local week, a week dedicated to encouraging employees to volunteer within their local communities. A range of activities were organised across the UK by businesses, including Entrust.
In aid of the of the Go Local Campaign, Entrust organised a food bank on behalf of ‘House of Bread’ in Stafford. House of Bread provide a meal service and support as well as a safe and welcoming place for all vulnerable people in Stafford.
We didn’t stop there either, our staff also organised a ‘wine or water’ stand and a raffle to raise vital funds for Donna Louise UK. Donna Louise UK is a children’s and young people’s hospice for those with a shortened life expectancy due to illness or injury and are there to support every member of the family, every step of the way. The team raised over £500 for the hospice by the end of the week. Other members of staff also organised a fantastic bake sale and raised £69 for Staffordshire Search and Rescue team, who are a team of dedicated volunteers with specialist training to locate and rescue missing people in Staffordshire.
Entrust Outdoors also kindly offered Staffordshire Search and Rescue team the use of their facilities for this next year’s training weekend for free, which will save the charity nearly £700.
